TRIVIAIn 2006 I did an artist residency in Brixton Market. Back then it was not a trendy hub full of restaurants and bars. Most of the shops were empty and it was more like a ghost town. We were a few artist who were given a shop-space each for a month with an exhibition at the end of it. I decided to carve woodcuts in my space. All depicting different shops of the market. At the end of the residency I gave a print to each of the shops.
All well and good, but my claim to fame came a few years later when this series of prints were used on the first edition of the Brixton Pound notes. Not the queen on the money, but my prints!!
