Flowers First Season
The TV series Flowers was created by Will Sharp for Channel 4 and probably my favorite project so far.
I was commissioned to create a series of etchings to show the Grubbs family. This family of goblins was illustrating the dynamic and dysfunctional aspects of the Flowers family.
This is when Mr Grubbs finds the bones of Nana Grubbs and howls to the skies. While in the background the two twins are being reprimanded by Mrs Grubbs.
Mr Grubbs' nightmare where Mrs Grubbs has turned into a giant snake that is trying to strangle him, while at the same time swallowing the children.
Wanting to make more for the first series.
I decided to do a series of monoprints of the Grubbs family-members. I thought they might be used in the introduction to each episode. That never happened, but they were still used.
